FAQ

How can I help?
  • AYSO is 100% volunteer organization. Without volunteers, AYSO would not be in Iron County.  
  • Volunteering makes yours and your child's experience that much better. 
  • We have numerous ways that you can help out, some that are quick and easy, some that are longer term. 
When are the games?
  • The games are Tuesday's though Saturday's. The times vary from week to week. 
  • We usually start the third Saturday of August.
When are the practices?
  • Practice days and times are determined by the coach.
Does my child have to attend practices?
  • Each player is strongly urged to attend every team practice.  Any player who misses practices regularly may have his/her playing time limited to one-half of a game.
When will I hear from my child's coach
  • Teams are usually assigned by the end of July and players will be contacted after their Coach has completed training.  If you haven't heard by from anyone by August 7th, please send us an email.
Registration includes:
  • Complete Score Uniform - jersey, shorts, socks;
  • Secondary Insurance;
  • Play-On Magazine; and an
  • End of Season Award
Items not included:
  • Required
    • Shin guards
      • may be purchased at any sporting goods store
  • Optional
    •  soccer ball (recommended that each child has their own)
    • Cleats
      • any closed sneaker may be worn
      • these may be purchased from any sporting goods store

*You might check with your local sporting goods store to see if they offer package pricing for purchasing shin guards, cleats and a ball.
